• POEMS FROM CELESTRA

I'll let you in on a little secret, I'm originally from the planet Celestra in the Kepler-186 solar system. It's roughly 500 light years away from earth, a relative hop, skip, and jump away in cosmic terms.

     Celestra My Paramour

    By Lee Johnson (2023)

    In the cosmos' vast

    And timeless dance,

    Beyond the reach

    Of a mortal glance,

    Lies Celestra, my world,

    In Kepler's embrace,

    A jewel of the stars,

    A quite sensual place

    Five hundred light-years

    From this blue sphere,

    In the constellation Cygnus,

    Is where she appears,

    Where planets and moons

    In harmony play,

    Where night is quite simply

    A much softer day

    Celestra, with skies

    Of an orange-red hue,

    Her auroras dance

    In shades of blue,

    And crimson oceans

    Kiss emerald lands,

    She's beautifully crafted

    By celestial hands

    Where the stars always

    Whisper ancient tales,

    Of cosmic winds

    And solar-force gales,

    In Celestra's embrace,

    All time stands still,

    Bound in a cosmic

    Paramour's thrill

    In the night sky,

    Of a starlight stream,

    Think of Celestra,

    It's not just a dream,

    A testament to magical

    Wonders unseen,

    She lives in me now

In the core of my genes

    Interstellar Poem

    By Lee Johnson (2023)

    I am the beginning

    Of eternity

    The end of time

    And space

    What dances

    With light and shadows

    But never loses place?

    I'm the force that binds

    The stars that finds

    What caresses

    Planets softly

    What is always

    Right in front of you

    but can never

    Quite be seen?

    What can travel

    Around the universe

    While staying in a corner?

    The roots nobody sees

    Are taller than the trees,

    Up, up it goes,

    Yet never grows

So take it as you please

    What has an eye

    But cannot see

    And travels around

    The universe unbound?

    What begins

    And has no end,

    But unlocks

    The cosmos mysteries?

    I drift forever

    With the current

    And flow to

    Places unknown

    Every planet

    A brand new mystery

    All the races

    I have known

    What fills a room

    But takes no space?

    What can you catch

    But never throw?

    I'm in the sky

    And in the ground

    When you live, I fly,

    I sit, when you die

What is seen in the stars,

    And heard in the stillness,

    And felt in the

    Heartbeat of

    Every creature?

    What binds us together

    Yet sets us apart,

    An eternal enigma

    Born in each heart

    A whisper in winds,

    A secret in streams,

    A silent companion

    In all of our dreams

It's the song of the cosmos,

    A universal tune,

    Played in the light

    Of an ever-changing moon

    It's the spark of creation

    The dancer of time

    In every age

    A moment sublime

    Unseen yet felt,

    A paradox so true,

    The interstellar link

    Between me and you
